Three women missing at Sproat Lake

Today's Alberni Valley Times says three women are missing from Sproat Lake.

Search and Rescue personnel and police have mobilized to search for three missing women at Sproat Lake.

Tuesday morning police and a canine unit were at the scene awaiting Alberni Search and Rescue Squad members who were mobilizing to begin looking for the three women.

Allan said it is hoped the three are fine and are waiting for help inside the vehicle.

Allan said police are hopeful the women will be located soon: police spotted obvious tire tracks and footprints from the night before and the man, who has a general idea where his companions are, is assisting with the search.
