It's aint over 'til the fat lady sings. BCID held their last AGM this past week. It's over. The fat lady sang. Hardly anyone attended the meeting. BCID meetings were a waste of time. Too often BCID trustees made decisions at public meetings then undid those same decisions at subsequent behind-closed-doors meetings. In the end, it caught up to them. I don't know anyone that trusted them.

I'd like to thank Pen and Possum for always alerting me to BCID's next move. It was very helpful in planning our next move. Pen and Possum laughed many times about how clever they were in luring me and a couple of other people into conversations that ended in a locked thread or someone being banned. Now that it's all over, the old saying "he who laughs last, laughs longest" applies.

Jealous people continue to make the world such a bitter place, how will things ever change if people don't stop, telling lies and, being so hateful!
IMO people who don't verbally get involved when something wrong is happening, sure shouldn't critize the people who do get things done!
I've had a couple people say to me I sure hope you are right, guess time well tell.
I asked them where in the hell have you been, for the past twenty years?
And anyone else who has anything negative to say. On June 1, 2012 not a day before, will be the day we will not have to worry what the good old boy's are up to and, what they are wasting our tax dollars on!!!

Perhaps the district can start to repair its tarnished reputation with some professional leadership.

It takes a long time, I still hear people say Cherry Creek has bad water and that reputation was from all the problems they had in the late 80's.

Yes there were boil water announcements at certain times back then, I'll never forget I cleaned house once a week in Cherry Creek.

The safe way to handle water when a boil water is in effect is very time consuming. You need to boil water to drink, cook, do dishes, brush your teeth, wash your face and hands. You need to keep a basin with water and a spoonful of bleach in it in your bathroom. I use a big wash basin filled with boiled water and a tablespoon of bleach in it, and leave it beside my sink on the counter in the kitchen for wiping the counters etc,etc. I use the Lysol wipes at the end of the day to wipe everything down.

When I wash clothes I put bleach in the rinse cycle only. As for showering hubby goes to the gym every morning, and I go to my friends.
You can see what a pain in the you know what it is. Hahaha

When I hear people say I sure would never buy a house out Beaver Creek, with all the water issues they have, I think I am happy that we do get the notices, I would be so angry if I found out they were not posting, boil water notices, and my family and friends got sick!

Imo other than "E-COLI" which we had three times in our water, you won't die right away from the bacteria in the water, but over a long period of time not handling dirty water the safe way, could do some damage to your organs, especially to little babies and kids, the elderly, and people who have a low immune deficiency like myself.

There are flaws also with the Alberni Clayquot Regional District Board, I also had a lot of dealings with that board to! But nothing like the Beaver Creek Improvement District boards. Just knowing the ACRD Trustees are held accountable for there actions, makes me feel good!
