New food strategy to be incorporated into official community plan
This report says Nanaimo is working on a new $20,000 food strategy, that will explore concerns about food security and ways to address them. Maybe that's something Port Alberni should be doing? Maybe the city is exploring the problem and I am not aware?

Rest assured [deleted personal information] has everyone well aware of her concerns. I think the problem is self defeating though as there is not enough arable land to grow enough food for the valley, in the valley. I like fresh vegetables all year round and once our produce from our greenhouse and gardens is used up I start buying the less favourful stuff in the grocery stores.
[Deleted personal information] is in it for themselves as they need city money and land to produce anything as they have nothing but sweat equity to offer and it also relys on other people's property to sweat on.
