With today's technology, people like you and me have access to events as they are happening. Twitter is a good source for up-to-date news. Sometime today you might read an article or see a news report about the following events posted in the past few hours by ScanBC on Twitter:
Vancouver Police are on scene at 685 W Hastings St where a male has just robbed the Royal Bank. Said he had a gun but one was not seen.
New Westminster Coast Guard have located a body in the water near New Westminster.
Vancouver Fire is on scene at 3400 Commercial Dr where someone has thrown a molotov cocktail through a window. Sprinklers put out the fire.
I have seen Port Alberni news as-it-is-happening on Twitter too.
